This Privacy Policy explains how Akwit Kft. ("we", "us") processes personal data submitted through the contact form and newsletter sign-up on this website (akwit.org). It does not cover any other data processing.

Contact Form
When you submit the contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and message, and — if you choose to share them — your phone number and country. We use this data solely to respond to your inquiry.
Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Newsletter Sign-up
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect only your email address, used solely to add you to our newsletter distribution.
Legal basis: your consent, given by confirming you've read this policy before subscribing (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Recipients and Processors
Submitted data is sent by email using SendGrid (operated by Twilio Inc., USA), our email delivery provider. It is also processed and temporarily stored — solely for spam and abuse prevention — using Google Cloud/Firebase infrastructure hosted in the European Union. We do not sell or share your data with any other third party.
Retention
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months after your inquiry is resolved, unless a longer period is required by law.
Newsletter sign-up data is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it — just email office@akwit.org.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Restrict or object to our processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, naih.hu) if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully.
